Hudson CASA provides centralized, focused access to homeless services for individuals and families throughout Hudson County. CASA staff will conduct an assessment to determine eligibility for emergency shelter and permanent housing options, as well as linkage to community services such as food, government benefits, mental health counseling, etc.
The program is located at the following sites:

ELIGIBILITY for CASA
To be eligible for coordinated entry, one must meet the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development definition of currently homeless or must be at risk of losing their housing within 14 days. The following are examples of persons who would be eligible for coordinated entry:
- Persons staying on the street, park, alley, car, storage unit, tent city, etc.
- Persons staying in a Homeless Shelter
- Persons staying temporarily in a hotel/motel paid by a government agency or non-profit organization
- Persons fleeing a documented Domestic Violence situation
- Persons who are being asked to leave a shared residence within the next two weeks
It is a persons’s homeless status, not level or lack of income, that determines eligibility for homeless services
